About AITRA

The All Ireland Taxi Representatives Association (AITRA) was formed in response to a clear call from taxi drivers for a new, accountable representative body. Brought together through collective action and strengthened by a shared determination to ensure the future of Ireland’s licensed taxi industry, AITRA exists to represent all drivers, to give them a voice and to take action on their behalf when it matters most.

Our Mission

To represent and unite taxi drivers across Ireland through an accountable, driver-led association that gives equal weight to every voice and takes decisive action in the interests of our members

Our Vision

An all-Ireland taxi industry where drivers are fairly represented, empowered to earn a decent living, and united in building a stronger, more respected profession.

Signatories of the First Co-Op Committee

This is the passionate and energetic team behind AITRA. They have voluntarily used and shared their collective knowledge to help secure our taxi industry now and into the future in Ireland

Driver-Led, Driver-Owned, Non-Profit

AITRA is supporting the development of Tap a Taxi, a new co-op taxi booking platform created to return fairness to the licensed taxi industry in Ireland. Owned and governed by drivers, it will operate as a non - profit organisation.
We exist to protect livelihoods, improve standards and put control back with the people doing the actual work.
No profit extraction. No hidden fees. No algorithm games.
Just fair work and reliable service.
